Dust Jackets

There were only three Trixie Belden books released in the dust jacket format.  These are all first editions and were published by Whitman between 1948 and 1951.

1.    The Secret of the Mansion           
2.    The Red Trailer Mystery              
3.    The Gatehouse Mystery 

The cover and internal illustrations are by Mary Stevens.

There was also a diamond dust jacket edition printed by Golden Press in the late 50s of The Secret of the Mansion.

Honey is described in the book as having light brown hair, but the cover clearly depicts her as having dark brown/black hair.

End pages list the first three books of the series although at this stage, the next two books had not been published.

The book is otherwise identical to the earlier dust jacket. 
Known as "the diamond dust jacket" because of the distinctive diamond pattern on the spine of the dust jacket and the cover and inside cover of the book.
